Connect a Simpson & Partners charger to GuestCharge

Simpson & Partners chargers are a lovely British-made option for holiday lets, and their setup all happens in the Simpson & Partners app. The charger keeps a list of charging platforms in its OCPP settings; you point it at GuestCharge from there and restart.

Before you start, check you have

• The Simpson & Partners app, already paired with your charger
• The charger's serial number
• A few minutes

1Add the charger in your GuestCharge dashboard

Run the onboarding wizard with the charger's serial number.

2Open the OCPP settings

In the Simpson & Partners app, go to Settings, then OCPP. You'll see a list of charging platform operators.

3Point the charger at GuestCharge

Choose the option to set up a custom operator and enter the server address:

• wss://ocpp.guestcharge.co/ followed by the serial number, like wss://ocpp.guestcharge.co/SP123456

4Save and restart

Tap Save & Restart Charger. The charger reboots with the new settings.

How you know it worked

Within a minute or so of the restart, the charger shows as connected in your GuestCharge dashboard.

If it won't connect

• Check the server address and serial number for typos
• Confirm the charger has a working internet connection
• If the OCPP settings only show a fixed list of operators with no custom option, email us at team@guestcharge.co. We'll sort the connection out with Simpson & Partners directly.
