The EVlink Smart Wallbox is configured through a web page inside the unit, reached over an ethernet cable from a laptop. It's a slightly more technical setup than most, and Schneider's own installation guide (the EVlink Smart Wallbox EVB1A22P document, configuration steps from page 35) is worth having open alongside this one. You can reach it by scanning the QR code on the charge point and following Documentation, then Product Documentation.

Before you start, check you have

  • A laptop with an ethernet port and a cable to the charger
  • Schneider's installation guide for the EVB1A22P
  • The charger's serial number
  • About 30 minutes

1Add the charger in your GuestCharge dashboard

Run the onboarding wizard with the charger's serial number.

2Connect your laptop to the charger

Connect the ethernet cable between laptop and charge point. Your laptop needs a static IP address on the charger's network range: an address of the form 192.168.0.x (any unused number, not 102) with subnet mask 255.255.255.0. Schneider's installation guide shows the exact properties for your operating system.

3Open the settings page

In a browser, go to http://192.168.0.102 and log in:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: ADMIN

4Enter the GuestCharge settings

Click Supervision and fill in:

  • Supervision URL: wss://ocpp.guestcharge.co/ followed by the serial number
  • Charging station ID: the charger's serial number, matching your wizard entry

5Reboot and check

Make sure the charge point has a working internet connection, then reboot it. Wait 30 seconds and refresh your browser window.

How you know it worked

The charger shows as connected in your GuestCharge dashboard.

If it won't connect

  • Check the Supervision URL and Charging station ID
  • Confirm the charger itself has internet access, separate from the laptop cable you used for setup
  • If everything is right and it still won't connect, the firmware may not support secure connections. Email the serial number and firmware version to team@guestcharge.co before going further.
