EO chargers are configured over Bluetooth using EO's own eConfig app. The one thing to check before you start: the charger's firmware must be version 1.1.16 or higher to connect to GuestCharge. If your unit is older, ask EO or your installer to update it first.

A heads-up on one of the steps: the app asks for technical electrical settings during setup. Those values should be entered by a qualified electrician. If your charger was professionally installed, they'll already be set and you can leave them alone.

Before you start, check you have

  • A phone with Bluetooth and the eConfig app (App Store / Google Play)
  • The PUK number, printed on the back of the user manual that came with the charger
  • Your internet details: Wi-Fi name and password, or LAN, or SIM
  • About 20 minutes

1Add the charger in your GuestCharge dashboard

Log in to your GuestCharge dashboard and run the onboarding wizard with the charger's serial number. You'll enter the same serial number into the charger shortly, and the two need to match.

2Connect to the charger

Open the eConfig app. It walks you through pairing with the eBox over Bluetooth. Follow the on-screen instructions until you're connected.

3Enter the PUK

Type in the PUK number from the back of the manual, then choose between a Business or Private installation.

4Confirm the technical settings

If your electrician set these during installation, leave them as they are and tap Proceed. If not, this is the part for a qualified person, not a guess.

5Choose the backend and get online

  • Select 3rd Party Backend
  • Pick your connection type: Wi-Fi (WLAN), LAN, or SIM, and enter the details

6Point the charger at GuestCharge

Once the charger is online, tap Configure backend and set:

  • Backend URL: wss://ocpp.guestcharge.co
  • Chargebox Identity: the charger's serial number, exactly as you entered it in the wizard

Leave the other settings at their defaults. Press Proceed and the charger connects to our server.

How you know it worked

The charger shows as connected in your dashboard.

If it won't connect

  • Firmware first. Below 1.1.16, it won't connect no matter what. Check the version in the eConfig app.
  • Check the Chargebox Identity matches the serial number exactly.
  • Confirm the internet connection works at the charger's location.

Still stuck? Email the serial number and firmware version to team@guestcharge.co and we'll take a look.
